Great comfort food and very friendly staff. We highly recommend Danbury Family Diner, it is one of our favorite diners in the area

Had the Krispy chicken dinner, expecting frozen processed faux chicken. instead, I got real pieces of chicken that were genuinely crispy and quite tasty. My date had burger which had chili and cheese and loved it. We will be coming back and would recommend.

The food is great here! My wife and i have eaten here several times. The restaurant is clean and the employees are helpful and polite.

The food the service super excellent! Loved the selection. The servers were super attentive and the food was very reasonably priced. Great place! Nice ambience too!

I don't normally do diners. But this place is worth doing. It was very good. Service was exceptional. Very clean. Convenient too.

A few previous reviews mention argumentative staff or poor service but I did not have that experience! We were checked on frequently and though my pancake was forgotten it was quickly made and brought to me. I've never been to a diner that gave free garlic bread! It came with like a cilantro lime dip? It was tangy. I ordered the Turkey club, I think it could have used more mayo as it was a bit dry but still tasted good! My mom ordered the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. She asked for American cheese and would have preferred if it was white American cheese but that could have been communicated on her part. Overall we thought the place was very clean and the service was a typical diner service! Wasn't very busy on a Wednesday night.

It's a classic American diner, with a Central American twist, which is about par for the course for Danbury. This place opened up in the mall last year, one of many diners in the area. Inevitably, I was at the mall, not in the mood for its sad little food court, and found myself here. It wasn't too crowded, so service was prompt, just like the kitchen. The server brought out some toast and dipping sauce. The bread seemed like lightly-toasted and seasoned buns; despite my initial assumptions, the taste and texture were perfect. The real star was the light green Audy Sauce, which tasted like Argentine chimichurri. I wanted to order something with Audy Sauce after that, but I opted for the Mexican panini with steak and chorizo. My girlfriend got an omelet with the sauce on the side. Any New Englander will know what diner food tastes like, and DFD will not disappoint. Staples like fries, coleslaw, and a pickle spear accompany most dishes. We decided to spring for dessert and we got milkshakes afterwards. If you like thick milkshakes, you'll be disappointed; I don't like sucking at nothing, so I enjoyed that it was on the thin side. All in all, no matter your tastes, you'll find something on their gigantic seven-page menu. If you're thirsty, the sign says that they've applied for a liquor license, too (as of early March 2024).

Had breakfast here last week and liked it so much we came back this morning. Food is solid for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and fast. Will be returning.
